EC type approval

Recently, the international independent third party testing, inspection and certification body TUV Greater China (hereinafter referred to as "TUV Rheinland") assisted the EU regulations (EC) No 79 (2009 and (EU) No 406 / 2010, and successfully obtained the EC type certification issued by the Ministry of Transport (SNCH).

Sensata Technology is the first manufacturer of hydrogen components assisted by TUV Rhine Greater China to receive this certificate. Hu Congxiang, senior manager of Technology Design and Development Department, Li Weiying, general manager of TUV Rhine Greater China, Chen Yuanyuan, deputy general manager of Transportation Service attended the ceremony.

Thanks to TUV Rhein for its technical support, assisting Sensata Technology to complete the test and successfully obtain the EC type certification, becoming one of the few manufacturers in the world to achieve full coverage of all pressure sensors for fuel cell stack and hydrogen supply system. In the future, Sensata Technology will make use of its own technological advantages to continue to deepen the fuel cell field, adhere to innovation, and constantly improve and expand new sensor applications.

Hydrogen gas pressure sensor

Hydrogen pressure sensor is mainly used in the hydrogen storage system of hydrogen energy vehicles. Hydrogen energy is listed as the main solution of human energy crisis and environmental pollution. With the proposal of the goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutral", hydrogen energy vehicles will usher in a broader development prospect.

The hydrogen pressure sensor is developed based on mature LFF 4 platform. Its mechanical and electrical performance are stable and reliable, and quality control meets TS 16949 standard to ensure product consistency; product parameters cover full life, full temperature range and full pressure range, and are characterized by lightweight and small size.

The EU Regulation (EC) No 79 / 2009 and (EU) No 406 / 2010 are the framework directive established by the European Parliament and the Council for approving motor vehicles and their trailers, systems, components and separate technical units for such vehicles, applicable to class M and N hydrogen powered vehicles, including hydrogen components and hydrogen systems listed for Class M and N motor vehicles, and new forms of hydrogen storage or use.
The regulation sets technical requirements for hydrogen-related components and vehicles to ensure public safety and a clean environment.
